FAQ
Questions and answers
Short answers about what Prisma2R is, what it needs and what it doesn't do.
What is Prisma2R?
A free, community-made Python mod for Prisflex that manages a movie, TV and music library. You say what you want; it finds releases on the indexers and Usenet servers you set up, downloads them with its own downloader, then names, files and imports them.
Does Prisma2R provide any movies, shows or music?
No. Prisma2R doesn't host, index, sell, stream or link to any content. It is software that works with the indexers, Usenet providers and lists you choose and set up. You are responsible for what you download and for having the right to it under your local law.
What do I need to use it?
Prisflex, installed and running on your PC, plus at least one Newznab indexer and an account with a Usenet provider, all of which you set up yourself and must be allowed to use. Looking up titles to add needs an internet connection.
Is Prisma2R part of Prisflex?
No. Prisma2R is a community-made mod that runs inside Prisflex. It is not affiliated with Prisflex.
Is it free? Can I change it?
Yes, for non-commercial use. Prisma2R is licensed under the PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0: you can use, change and share it for any non-commercial purpose, and copies you pass on must keep its notices, which credit Prisma2R. Commercial use isn't allowed, so it is source-available rather than open source in the strict sense.
It is provided as is, with no warranty and no official support.
Which apps does it replace?
Radarr (movies), Sonarr (TV), Lidarr (music) and SABnzbd (Usenet downloads), in one mod. Because the downloader is built in, you don't need a separate download client.
Can I bring over my Radarr and Sonarr setup?
Yes. Import from Radarr and Import from Sonarr bring over your movies and shows with their monitored state, profiles, custom formats, naming, tags, history and blocklist. Your existing SABnzbd categories carry over.
Does it handle music?
Yes. It follows artists' discographies, finds missing albums and matches imports against an online music database.
When can I download it?
The first release will be published on GitHub; the Download page will link to it.
Are the movies and shows in the screenshots real?
No. The screenshots use an example library: every title, poster, person and release in them is a mock-up made for the screenshots, and the indexers shown are invented ones on example.com.
